I want to know about all the metrics that we can monitor through Amazon CloudWatch without being charged. It might be having some limits but the list of such metrics would help to plan us beforehand.

Cloud Watch offers two levels of monitoring named Basic and Detailed.

So, you can use the basic level of monitoring in CloudWatch to monitor your EC2 instances at no additional charge. CPU load, disk I/O, and network I/O metrics are collected at five minute intervals and stored for two weeks.

If you want the intervals to be more detailed(one minute intervals) then you can go with a charge of $0.015/hour.
